Belgian Act implementing the Mobility Directive approved in Parliament

On 27 April 2023, the Belgian Chamber of Representatives voted on and approved the Belgian Act implementing the Mobility Directive. The Act has now been submitted to the King for ratification and will subsequently be published in the Belgian Official Gazette.
As a special transitory measure, the Act provides that the new rules will only apply to domestic and cross-border mergers, demergers and conversions for which the (de)merger/conversion proposal was filed 10 days after the publication of the Act in the Belgian Official Gazette. This means that ongoing (de)mergers/conversions can be completed on the basis of the current (old) rules (at least for Belgian legal purposes).
